Dine Smart
is an initiative of the Southbank Domain PCCC. 30,000 brochures were
produced in conjunction with the Victoria Police, City of Melbourne
and the Restaurant & Catering Association. The brochures provide
basic crime prevention advice to try and reduce the incidence of
theft (of handbags, mobiles etc) from Restaurants and Cafes within
the City of Melbourne. So far 18,000 brochures have been distributed
through 47 businesses.
The program was officially launched in September 2002.The message
to diners is:
|
ARE YOU A SMART DINER?

- Remember bags are safest on your lap
- Never hang your bag on the back of a chair
- Watch out for your laptop at all times
- Keep purses, wallets, cards and cash safely out of sight
- Never leave valuables unattended on a table, at the bar or
on a chair
Help ensure your dining experience is
